FIELD NOTE / 002 Offline asset study

Purple urchin exterior study

A small creature can hold a world of detail.

Strongylocentrotus purpuratus

A purple urchin exterior model, with many fine spines, rendered offline against a slate background — OFFLINE CPU RENDER / V04Original project material · Unrealm

The subject

The visible exterior of the purple urchin (Strongylocentrotus purpuratus), with attention to silhouette, spines and fine surface structures.

What you’re looking at

An offline CPU render of an original procedural model. This is an exterior asset study, not a current gameplay capture or a complete biological simulation.

Current boundaries

Local spine refinements and Unreal Engine integration, animation and level-of-detail validation remain. The runtime captures elsewhere on this site show an earlier model.
