About this site

Unrealm is an independent real-world exploration project in development. This site presents prototypes, asset studies and a development vision. It is not an official Epic Games or Unreal Engine website. Software and institution names identify sources and do not imply endorsement.

02

Ocean and cloud-shadow film

Unrealm prototype · in-engine ocean and cloud-shadow study, recorded 23 October 2026 in Unreal Engine. A development validation scene using a teaching weather preset, not final gameplay or a claim of physically accurate or live weather. The original approximately 10-second variable-frame-rate clip retains captured timing, without generated frames or acceleration. The silent H.264 file is a presentation encode.

03

Purple urchin exterior study

An original Unrealm procedural model, rendered offline on the CPU in Blender; v04 exterior study. It is separate from the older runtime model in the captures and has not completed Unreal Engine integration validation. It is not presented as already integrated gameplay.

04

Runtime and knowledge captures

Actual captures of the running Monterey development prototype. Candidate-content, source and model-binding notices remain visible. The kelp source preview does not imply a bound kelp model in that scene. Only short knowledge previews and reference entry points are shown; third-party photos and full texts are not republished.

05

Terrain, land, buildings and roads

Monterey terrain sources include USGS / CSUMB Seafloor Mapping Lab / MBARI / JALBTCX; land sources include USGS and ESA WorldCover 2021; building and road data are © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the ODbL. Original capture attributions are retained. Data used in this study were acquired, processed, archived, and distributed by the Seafloor Mapping Lab of California State University Monterey Bay. Missing heights, façades and living things are teaching representations. Procedural organisms do not represent a surveyed community, and behavior is not an ecological prediction. Only the water surface is visible in the ocean film.

Interactive Earth concept

The homepage Earth is an original browser-rendered concept visualization, using NASA Blue Marble Next Generation imagery for April 2004 with topography and bathymetry. Credit: NASA Earth Observatory. The historical composite is distinct from Unrealm in-engine footage, live weather and completed global coverage.

Design and media principles

Page design and copy are original to this Unrealm site. Nature documentary, science exhibition and geographic visualization informed the narrative; no reference-site imagery, brands or copy are reproduced. No AI-generated imagery is passed off as runtime evidence.
